Help Bring ‘Last Card’ to Life! Back the Crowdfunding Campaign. By backing this campaign, you’re not just pre-ordering a game; you’re becoming a crucial part of bringing language learning to life and ensuring its highest possible quality. Every pledge gets us one step closer to the finish line.
For the past few years, I’ve been trying to develop a game that blends fun and language learning. I finally have a prototype and my family have been playtesting ‘Lasta Karto – Yoruba.’ I’ve even road tested it a few hapless individuals and made refinements. It’s been approved for manufacture and global distribution!
The game is easy, fun, versatile and educational all at the same time
So, to move from prototypes to a high-quality, mass-produced game, I need your help; orders require minimum order quantities, and I’ll need an indication of interest. The more people commit to buy, the more we can order, and the cheaper it will be per person.
If you’re already interested in Lasta Karto Yoruba, please indicate interest here, and you’ll be the first to find out when the campaign launches. Read on for more details about the game.
Lasta Karto blends elements of Nigerian Whot and International Uno, but mixed with fun language challenges! Players must match colors or numbers, as usual, but while tackling language tasks like:
Typical Gameplay
The game is smart, looks awesome, adaptable and easy to play. It has no complex rules. When the prototype deck arrived, I ripped it out of the packaging and started a round by dealing cards to my wife and I, I explained as we played, and she still beat me. More than 95% of the words are from the associated Yoruba Phonics book 1, so this game is the perfect playground for using what been learned from the book.
The game has 3 obvious play modes

It is perfect for: Game nights, Language classrooms, or just passing the time.

If you’re interested in the Yoruba Game, please indicate here, and you’ll be the first to find out. I want to launch the campaign soon to pre-order the games. If we reach the goal by end of October we’ll have the cards in our hands before the logistics rush of Christmas. Help spread the word now and everybody will be ready when it drops.
Well! So, lets say, for some strange inconveiveable reason, you don’t want Yoruba. But you want it in another language.
No worries, other languages are in development, visit this page to note your interest in your language of choice and a campaign will be setup for it too.
You’ve read this far, thank you for your time. If you’re still interested in the Yoruba game, please indicate interest here, and you’ll be the first to find out.
Best Regards,
Michael Ipinyomi.
